Training: for your Body Type (Somatotype Training)

Becoming healthier isn’t just about proper diet and nutrition, its about physical activity as well. This is the first goal in our Tri-Point system.  Regular physical activity is important for overall health and fitness. It helps to control  body weight by balancing the calories consumed through food with the calories expended each day.  In addition to helping control weight, physical activity decreases the risk of coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and colon cancer.  According to the National Health Interview Survey, only 26 percent of American adults engage in vigorous leisure-time physical activity three or more times per week (defined as periods of vigorous physical activity lasting 10 minutes or more). The survey also showed that about 59 percent of adults do not partake in vigorous physical activity in their leisure time.

Diet Plan / Nutrition : Delicious Meals that keep you feeling full

The second goal of the Tri-Point system is maintaining a properly-balanced diet.  There are a certain number of calories a person needs to consume each day in order to stay healthy.  This number varies, depending on age, activity level and personal goals. It is very possible to consume an entire daily caloric amount with just a few high-calorie items, but the likelihood of getting the full range of vitamins and nutrients that a body needs to be healthy is slim. If a person consumes 100 more food calories a day than he or she burns, he or she will gain about one pound per month. That’s about 10 pounds in a year. The bottom line is that to lose weight, it’s important to reduce calories and increase physical activity.
